Another great concept from Jason Bitner, one of the fine folks behind Found Magazine.Cassette From My Ex gathers stories behind those mix tapes that were given to you by old flames and lets you stream the tapes themselves. The site is funny and touching and full of great music. Submit your own story today!
Really good new video for the great new song "Sax Rohmer #1" off the fantastic new album from my favorite band! Adjectives! I got the full album (”Heretic Pride”, for the uninformed) a few days ago, and as somewhat of a tMG purist, I can tell you it rocks. If you hated “Get Lonely” and only kind of liked “The Sunset Tree”, don’t worry. Everything’s getting back to normal now.
Behold, a full stream of latest album from The Magnetic Fields, "Distortion". Hurrah! (Thanks for the tip, Largehearted Boy!) I'm listening to it for the first time now and am only on the third song (still good!), but I wanted to make sure I told y'all ASAP.
Oh my God! My good buddy Mitzi just sent me a link to Kermit the Frog doing one of my favorite Talking Heads songs. It's as wonderful as you would imagine. It also makes me want to hunt down some episodes of "Muppets Tonight" on the internets.
The fact that no one told me that Will Oldham and Zach Galifianakis were in a Kanye West video until today is criminal. This is now one of my favorite music videos.
Wandering around the internet today, I stumbled upon Vling!, home of adorable, affordable, one of a kind jewelry made from recycled vinyl records (including some out of colored vinyl!) I'm pretty in love; in fact, I've already purchased the gramophone necklace on the left hand side of the post there. Check out the kitty, lightning bolt, guitar, cassette tape, skull, and more designs for yourself. There's something for everybody.
Cute new Tullycraft video for the song "Georgette Plays A Goth" off their album that came out yesterday, Every Scene Needs A Center. More info on the video here, purchase their twee-tastic new album here!
Imagine my surprise when I stepped outside this morning and had to immediately run back in and grab a sweater. It's finally cold here! In Austin! I am more than excited. Good riddance, summer. Hopefully today is not a fluke.
Last week was a good one for fans of triumphant, orchestral pop. Sweden's Jens Lekman and indie wunderkind Beirut both released great new albums ("Night Falls Over Kortedala" and "The Flying Club Cup", respectively.) If you're familiar with either band, you'll be getting pretty much what you'd except: Clever, catchy, tough-in-cheek tunes from Jens and grand, old-timey, beautiful pieces from Beirut. Here's something old and something new by each of these lovely artists.
Norwegian writer/artist Jason is easily one of my favorite comic creators, so I was incredibly excited to pick up his new book, "I Killed Adolph Hitler", when it came out last Wednesday. It's about a hit man who is hired by a scientist to go back in time and kill Hitler and, really, how can you go wrong with a premise like that?
As with all Jason books, "I Killed Adolph Hitler" has moments both heartwarming and heartbreaking and showcases his usual subtle, perfect sense of humor. Plus, the color work in the printing is absolutely gorgeous. You can buy the book through Fantagraphics (though I'd recommend not reading all of the synopsis they have on their site, it will give too much away.)
That is understandable that money makes us disembarrass. But what to do if one does not have cash? The only one way is to get the personal loans or just sba loan.
Have no enough money to buy a car? Worry not, just because that's available to take the loan to resolve such problems. Thence get a collateral loan to buy all you want.
