Elaine appeared mysteriously one day in a fairy ring, naked in a field of clover in Ireland. Sometimes she speaks in forgotten tongues, her eyes looking off into the distance at something no one else can see. But we forgive her that, because she has an ear for beautiful strains of music, and can call out singers from their secret places with but a word. If we are very lucky, she will tell us all she knows, and we will be richer for it.
