going for a night ride on the motorbike when it cools off, stopping on the side of the road somewhere dark and quiet to count stars with my passenger...

Sitting indoors in the shade, watching other people be busy

Campfires and drinking.

Reading, listening to new music, kicking back in my hammock, and backpacking.

I have to say my favorite thing in the summer is all the big summer movies that are released! When it's a blistering hot day, I just love sitting in the air conditioned dark, munching my popcorn, watching a great movie. Especially if I have a sweetheart with me...

Walking the local trails. Yesterday at dusk there must have been 100,000 fireflies.
When it gets brutally hot, my favorite thing in the world is chilling in my air conditioned room.
I really love my air conditioner.
Yes, I think I'll marry it.

an ice cold cider over ice overlooking the beaches of tramore, SE Eire with good company. perfect.

Lying across a comfy chair listening to cars go by while reading.

Summertime means long runs on local trails followed by a dip in the lake followed by a big breakfast.

Going to the cottage!!! Or in my case mooching cottages.

In Upstate NYS... I'm tap dancing down a sidewalk free of snow!

Waiting all year for July 11th and then hitting up every 7-11 in town for free Slurppies all day!

Monsoon season has officially started here in Tucson, so my favorite thing to do right now is to get up from my desk (along with my coworkers) and bask in the rain. It's ritual here in the desert.

Well, summers in the south mean watching fireflies,being chased by mosquitoes,swimming in the river,and drinking lots of ice tea. I love summer!

Going to the park with friends in tow, where we might play frisbee and fly kites, bask in the sun, read books and have snoozes..

Getting melted drippy icecream all over my fingers is important too..

My favorite thing to do in the summer is to swim in the fountains around edmonton on nights that are above 25 degrees at midnight with people from my hometown that make the trip out to visit me on my weekends off.

anything you can do in a hammock!

Hang cherries from my ears, eat raspberries off of my fingertips, and make insensibly frilly dresses to wear indoors when the summer is over.

the pain of going down my dirt road barefoot and then that relief when a small patch of soft warm sand comes along. it feels like soft marshmallows and silk after those rocks. knowing my feet are shedding that weak winter skin and growing tougher my the minute.

Running around the park, playing with water balloons and squirt guns on a hot summer day!

Swimming in the lakes of Naples, Maine (especially when it's really, really hot outside)!

Mountain biking with friends, no holds barred style, on local trails with an ear-to-ear grin. Afterwards, going to a fast-food joint to gain back the calories we've lost.

Cruising down to the park om my longboard. Sitting outside drinking cold beers. Garden parties.

i love to chill by the pool and mess around on the acoustic guitar. all the while getting a tan!
