Here's part two of Nathalie Boisard-Beudin's coverage of Designer Block Milan!

7.Feeling decadent? Joana Meroz has designed the ultimate treat for you: a metal lace drain to transform your mundame kitchen sink into a work of art. Now, if you feel like your life is going down the drain, be re-assured it will be going in style! (No kidding I just loved this.) Her site with those jewels and many more (including a nipple plug): www.theornamentedlife.com

8. Now, there's a mad Londoner who has decided to transform sounds into forms. He is Matthew Plummer-Fernandez and this chair is is most famous piece. I did not dare to try it... You can see a white version of the chair and hear the sound wave it reproduces over at Matthew's site: http://www.plummerfernandez.com and see more projects of his.

9. And then there was James van Vossel, from Belgium. A most creative guy who is looking for a firm to produce his ideas. I loved his modular wall project. You can build it anyway you like it, the modules could be made in just about any colours and you could alternate the pieces to build a wall tapestry or dividing wall. I also liked his (10.) egg shaped bird house/feeder. And his (11.) two-way flipflops. No matter what, your sandals will always be facing the right direction for you to slip them on! Check out the rest of his site: http://www.jamesvanvossel.be

12. I also loved the creativity bursting from Francesca Signori, who had a joint exhibit with the Coro gallery. From her magnetic embroidered wood panels (to make your own wall designs), (13.) also used on precious cabinets, (14.) to her paper-like dresses and coats, which are not actually made of paper but of a resistant type of plastic sheet. It is resistant and can be cleaned in the washing machine. (15.) I also loved Francesca's magnetic vanity carpet project: You come and visit her workshop, she'll take your silhouette and as you tell her of yourself around a cup of tea, she will draw some of your particularities into the borders or the design and you'll end-up with the perfect unique carpet to go with her sugar furniture. She can be contacted at her blog: http://francescasignori.com

16. The Coro Gallery, who had floor lamps and flower shaped scented tables on display alongside with her pieces, can be visited at: http://www.corogallery.it

17. Check out Vahakn Matossian! He is also full of creativity. Having a weakness for cute creatures, I loved his BoomBoy best. But his (18. ) Microscopy table was also fascinating and I spent a lot of time playing with it, pushing objects onto the little hotspot at the lower right corner to see them magnified on the centre lens. With a coffee table like this, you'll never need another conversation piece! Vahakn's site is at http://www.vahakn.co.uk

Stay tuned this week for more from Designers Block!
