Hello, FotF (Friends of the Fabulist), it's been a long time. Since we last saw each other, I moved from sunny Los Angeles to way, way sunnier Austin, Texas. Turns out that moving was a good choice, if only for the fact that my new home in The South is the location of the best music festival this year.
For those of you not in the know, Fun Fun Fun Fest is being held November 3rd and 4th in Waterloo Park and boy, is it a doozy. The creme de la creme of the punk and indie rock worlds are gathering on three stages in two days including, are you sitting down?, the previously defunct motherfucking Murder City Devils. That's right! Worth the already reasonable ticket price alone, am I right? Along with the Devils will also be The New Pornographers, Battles, Of Montreal, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Cat Power, The Sword, Against Me!, Busdriver , and oh so many more. Book a plane, train, or automobile and be there or be square (and regret it possibly for the rest of your life! Oh noes!)
