BY LAND OF MUSIC
I was going to do a somewhat sad-sacky post today as that's kind of how I've been feeling, but I decided that no! I am not going to be a bummer on a Friday! It's almost the weekend and this, this is the music you need for weekends. This music will make you want to punch a hole through a cow, or run across hot coals, or ask your boss for that raise come Monday. This is Confidence Rock. Notice how both words in the phrase are capitalized? Motherfuckin' confident. Excuse me, I mean Confident. Have a good weekend, friends. Go out there and kick some ass.

Survivor - Eye of the Tiger

Queen - Don't Stop Me Now

Joe Esposito - You're The Best (yes, it's that song from "Karate Kid")

Right Said Fred - I'm Too Sexy

MC Hammer - 2 Legit 2 Quit

Cake - I Will Survive

PS. I have a pretty excellent longer version of the Confidence Rock mix, if you'd like a copy, leave a comment and I'll upload it to yousendit. Basically, it's just got a lot more Queen.

Long time reader, first time poster. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the song from the Karate Kid! I have been searching for that song but had no idea who sang it. You truly are the best around!

Don't Stop Me Now was my confidence builder all thorugh High School. It was the "I can take anything" song of choice . . .

You're the best...

ARRROUUUUNND!

awesome. "Confidence Rock" is the perfect genre name.

i was actually looking for music to play as my wiffleball teammates and i dug into the batter's box during our tournament next weekend.(such a non-sporting event requires building it up to ridiculous heights.)

i knew that i needed Confidence Rock, but i did not know that it had such a perfect name.

i will now use MC Hammer's "2 Legit 2 Quit" for my at bats. i wear the #2... it is fate.

i would also LOVE to hear whatever else is on that mix...

...if you don't mind...

thanks!

All right, I most certainly need to hear the rest of this mix!

YOU rock. I didn't download the mix, but that's because I don't have to. After simply reading the song titles I already have confide Confidence Rock playing loudly in my head. F-yeah!

Jewlie, you are a true innovator!

Hi Jewlie,

Thanks for this post.
I have two nieces aged 11 and 12 that have just come to live with us in Sydney, (from South Korea).
I have been singing the first part of the "I'm Too Sexy" song to them on the odd occasion when I've had a few drinks.
I accompany it with a sexy wiggle and shake, well I think it's sexy, which gets them laughing their heads off.
I have wanted to let them hear the whole song as it should sound and with this post I will be able to crack them up tonight.

Thanks,
Clint

Jewlie,

If you could please send me the mp3s of Eye of the Tiger and You're The Best, I would forever be in your debt. I need them for a bicycle tour this weekend, during which they will be blasting out of a bike-mounted boombox.

Thanks!

The author of www.fabulist.org has written an excellent article. You have made your point and there is not much to argue about. It is like the following universal truth that you can not argue with: At the end of every party there is always a girl crying. Thanks for the info.
