Covers of The Smiths! Some of these recordings are of less than stellar quality but are nevertheless good for dorky collectors such as myself. Enjoy! Also, everytime you leave a comment on The Fabulist, an angel gets its wings. Just sayin'.

The Mountain Goats - Reel Around The Fountain

Ohm Guru - Please Please Let Me Get What I Want

The Lucksmiths - There Is A Light That Never Goes Out(not working, I will fix later!)

Colin Meloy - Every Day Is Like Sunday

Belle and Sebastain - The Boy With The Thorn In His Side (not working, I will fix later!)

Stars - This Charming Man

Also, if you haven't heard, Johnny Marr is now a full time member of Modest Mouse. Weird, huh?

Ooh, I believe Braid did a cover of "There is a Light..." It's pretty nifty, although I prefer the Smiths'.

Nope, not Braid... I think the version I heard may have been...LASID? Not Nick Cave... But it was good.

Just so you know.

Um, T.A.T.U. did a cover of "How Soon Is Now?"...It's pretty incredible.

I've heard that T.a.t.u. cover. While I like T.a.t.u., I don't think it's all that great.
