BY LAND OF MUSIC
I've been listening to The Velvet Teen for quite awhile now and have always been impressed by how different each new album is from the last as well as how consistantly good they are. Though they change their sound often, they always seem to retain the same kind of voice as a band, which I imagine is pretty difficult to do. The kind people at Slowdance Records saw that I had posted TVT's cover of "No One Will Ever Love You" and were nice enough to send me a copy of their new album "Cum Laude". It's real good, friends. It's not grand like "Out Of The Fierce Parade" or delicate like "The Grand Beast February/Comasynthesis"; it is a bit gritter and a bit more, well, rocking. You know I'm terrible at things like this, just listen and enjoy.
