Plant-Me Pets are little rubber critters with seeds for eyes--stick 'em in the ground and they blossom into melons, or tomatoes, or pumpkins.
>>The way we see it, you should love and take care of your Plant-Me Pet then shove it in the soil when you grow tired of those slightly sinister, seedy little eyes. Any guilt will soon be replaced by eager anticipation the moment your Plant-Me Pet sprouts from the soil like a phoenix from the flames.

With MTV no longer a real option for music video play, it would almost seem like the network that started the trend is turning it into a dying artform.
Enter BitTorrent, and the new trend of artists taking music video distribution into their own hands.
>>... the Decemberists, opted to release its new music video, Sixteen Military Wives, for free using BitTorrent. The high-quality video file has logged more than 1,700 downloads since it was released over the weekend.

Street artist Banksy installed his own art over the weekend in four prestigious New York museums: The Brooklyn Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum of Modern Art, and the Museum of Natural History.
>>Dressed as a British pensioner, over the last few days Banksy entered each of the galleries and attached one of his own works, complete with authorative name plaque and explanation.
>>He says - "This historic occasion has less to do with finally being embraced by the fine art establishment and is more about the judicious use of a fake beard and some high strength glue." Banksy continues -"They're good enough to be in there, so I don't see why I should wait."

I've just found one of my new favorite artists: Ogi.
>>Originally from Tokyo, Ogi now resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with its thriving art scene and it shows. His style is a unique fusion of graphic design and Japanese animation, his work unabashedly independent of the mainstream art establishment.
>>He has exhibited at Giant Robot, Andenken Gallery, the Sneaker Pimps global sneaker exhibition and the PANOS Fake Roadsigns show, among other places.
You can buy prints on the newly launched Android 8.

I've wondered where Fiona Apple had gone. Her deep throaty voice
vanished from the scene some 6 years ago. Come to find out, Miz Apple
finished an album entitled Extraordinary Machine two years ago, which
Sony shelved due to "lack of a viable single."
>>>But now, a hot new twist. The rest of "Extraordinary Machine" has,
somehow, been leaked onto this fair Internet. All of it. Every song,
some at first sounding not all that complete and some reportedly with
only tentative titles, but, then again, a DJ at a radio station up in
Seattle (the End 107.7) somehow managed to get his hands on the whole
album and has apparently been playing almost every track and it's all
much more finished and incredible than anyone thought.
You can get the album at the link below-- and I recommend you read the
article, too.

Wooster Collective, a grouping of random (and generally street-found)
art, has launched a site called Wooster Mobile, with art for your cell
that is actually pretty hot. It's an interesting new venue for artists, seeing as most cell phone wallpapers for sale are of logos and animals.

This shirt is just great-- and PreShrunk says it best:
>>My favorite thing to do is to wear it to the video store and say
things like "'Fear and Loathing' is checked out? Guess we'll have to
download it when we get home."
